US Cellular ESN

Hi everyone,

I have a question about US Cellular. The site does not have any option to check for ESN from US Cellular. But this morning, i accidentally put a US Cellular ESN to Verizon box and it turned out clean. It even showed the model number of the phone right. I'm pretty sure it's a US Cellular phone because the screen show "US Cellular" when turned on. So is it a coincidence or are they using the same ESN database?

Unfortunately, USCellular is its own provider.

They aren't tied to Verizon, and therefor their ESNs are not in the Verizon DB.

What I think happened is, someone flashed a US Cellular firmware to the phone, or swapped cases to a VZW case.

Check the ESN from within the software on the phone, that will tell you if it has been flashed to a different firmware vs a swapped case.
