Checking Verizon Wireless ESNs

Most of you may already know but I'm going to detail a few things about checking ESNs using the Verizon Wireless option.

1: You will not receive valid responses when checking PagePlus activated phones. If your phone is from Verizon, and active on PagePlus, the ESN Checker will only show you the status of the ESN in the default Verizon database!

2: ESN Checking through Verizon is kind of tricky. Because of how Verizon stores ESNs in their database, you may receive a warning message to verify your ESN by calling Verizon. This is because when we receive a response from Verizon that an ESN is bad, we check it again through an alternative method to verify if it really is bad. If the ESN comes back clean through the alternative method, that means we received two different responses and have no way to know which one is accurate. So we ask that you check the ESN with Verizon directly in the event you are given a warning to do so in your ESN check response.

3: Verizon now supports ESN (hex), MEID (hex), and IMEI. Usually, when you have a 15 digit Verizon IMEI, removing the trailing digit will give you the phone's 14 digit MEID (hex). You can check all forms of the ESN, MEID, or IMEI using our ESN checker. Note, if you have an LTE device with a SIM Card... your phone's IMEI may not be registered with Verizon. This would result in you receiving a good/clean ESN notification when checking your IMEI of a phone you know is in use. This is nothing to be alarmed about and is perfectly okay. This just means the phone was not registered to your account and you can easily sell/trade/buy the phone by just removing the SIM card and adding your own.
