MetroPCS store fraud

Recently, I sold a MetroPCS phone to a customer. I had checked it here to make sure the ESN was clear.

when she took it to a MetroPCS store to activate it, they told her that it was already active.

When she contacted me about it, I had her try activating it online. That worked.

So apparently the MetroPCS store employee had lied to her, either because he did not know how to check the ESNs, or more likely, to make a sale.

Moral of the story: don't trust the j**ks working in the cell phone stores.

Sorry to hear you had trouble with MetroPCS. Unfortunately some stores refuse to help in activating used phones because they're not making much money by not selling a new phone.
