Verizon Wireless LTE [old] - deathtrip - 06-30-2012 04:35 PM It has come to our attention that there have been some issues concerning Verizon LTE devices. The issue is... From our calculations, roughly 60% (or more) of Verizon LTE devices are not tied to the account by the phone's IMEI, but by the SIM Card that is inserted in to the phone. This would cause the 15 digit IMEI to show clean/good when being checked, even if the phone is currently in use. To be more clear on the subject... since Verizon doesn't always tie the IMEI to your account, that means the phone is technically free and clear to be sold/traded to someone else with a Verizon LTE SIM card and all they need to do is pop it into their phone and all is good to go. Generally if you find an LTE device that shows bad it's probably because it has been reported lost or stolen. |
